Not only did the Jets dominate from top to bottom, if a few pass interference calls had been caught and the Jets had avoided fluky turnovers and missed gimme field goals, this would have been a total blowout of the Broncos. The offensive line deserves a big shout out for looking excellent against a very talented, but underperforming front 7. They’ve been atrocious for most of the season, but the OL propelled the Jets success at times and gave Crowell enough to dominate. Darnold also had a nice bounceback game despite the strange statline, and threw a few beautiful balls. Guys like Adams and Henry Anderson also continued to play very well, even though it was a particularly strange game in which the most maligned Jets dominated and the most consistent Jets disappointed. The only two bright spots thus far on offense, Quincy Enunwa and Bilal Powell Womens Dennis Byrd Jersey , both had poor games, although Powell did redeem himself somewhat with some solid play after a rare fumble threatened to put the Jets well behind the eight ball early. Enunwa, on the other hand, was absolutely terrible, though Eagle and Fouts did note that he wasn’t entirely healthy. He showed little to no chemistry with Darnold, with only one impressive connection in which Darnold actually underthrew him by a bit, reinforcing that lack of chemistry, even on a long touchdown pass. Well, that narrative could go by the wayside if he puts together a few more of these games. Enunwa didn’t look right out there and Anderson picked up the slack, torching Roby and taking it to the house. He followed that up with another long touchdown on an absolute dime from Darnold. If he and Enunwa can start putting together more consistent games Brandon Shell Jersey , the Jets may actually have a passing offense this year. Silver Star: DL Leonard Williams (5 tackles, 2 sacks)Williams desperately needs a good season to prove himself to fans that are sick of hearing about hidden production. The fact is that Williams has been a very good player for the Jets, even sneaking into one Pro Bowl, but most would have expected more from the 7th overall pick who was touted as the “best player in the draft.” This was the type of game people expected of him in his 4th season, racking up 2 sacks in which he was actually involved in 3 total sacks. The hidden production was still evident, but he finally put together some of the numbers that people hoped he would be able to produce regularly. A few more games like this and he might prove himself worthy of that top pick billing.Gold Star: RB Isaiah Crowell (15 rushes for 219 yards, 1 reception for 12 yards, 1 TD) What can you say about this game other than “Wow.” Crowell shrugged off the bad press and a bad game against Jacksonville by setting both Jets and NFL records Womens Eric Tomlinson Jersey , and he looked good doing it. Whether it was the longest Jets TD rush since 1996 or a simple 3rd and short in which he humiliated one of the better run stuffers in the NFL, Crowell just would not be denied. I can’t think of any more impressive performance by a Jets running back in recent years, and Chris Ivory had some gems to remember. Last week I gave the anti-game ball to everybody. This week the offense’s performance was anti-game ball worthy. Ultimately, though, it isn’t difficult to understand why a unit with limited personnel and a rookie quarterback would look hopeless against arguably the best defense in the NFL.What isn’t so easy to figure is how the Jets defense was so thoroughly beaten by a Jacksonville offense that doesn’t look terribly imposing on paper. On defense the Jets have the second most cap space in the league dedicated to the cornerback position, three recent first round picks, a recent second round pick, and a relatively expensive free agent linebacker. Defense is supposed to carry this team. Instead we got a performance where the Jets allowed the Jaguars to score every time they touched the ball in the first half. We saw busted coverage after busted coverage.The Jets aren’t going to beat anybody when their defense plays like that. That’s why the defense gets my anti-game ball this week.
