Has obama told the truth about anything Not signing bills with earmarks, not adding to the deficit, not a fan of big government, closing gitmo by the end of the year, claiming he is a centrist, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot that he has told the truth about.His 44% approval rating one year into his presidency isn't an accident.He earned it. However, barak obama did tell the truth when he said he was going to fundamentally change america.Please note that he didn't say he was going to change it for the better and i believe he has kept his word on that single instance. I think this poor guy is confused.He won the campaign, not by a landslide but with the media propping him up substantially.He believed his own speeches, believed he could change the world!But reality has slapped him in the face.He forgot this is america, the land of the free, fought born for freedom.He wasn't taught that in school and didn't learn that from his buddies, never fought in the military or lost someone close that did.He believes his speeches to himself because there is nothing else he believes in, he is now delusional and highly dependent on pelosi reid as he has no substance of his own. Are you guys kidding me.I know obama has fallen way short of what he promised and i have to admit it does bother me.However a lot of the things you listed that he failed to do is a direct result of the republican party blocking his attempts. He wanted to close gitmo but then someone made such a stink that"Oh no we can't bring the terrorists here! The guy is trying to clean up a mess, healthcare has been ignored in this country after every election.People wanted healthcare reform when bush came into office and he made promises only to then launch into war with foreign countries and and spend billions abroad.We never seem to have money for healthcare or schools, but always have money for needless wars, where we spend money like its going out of style and most of it ends up missing and not being spent on the items needed by troops.
