"A permanent classic in the Nike repertoire, the nike air max 270 has offered comfort for quite a long time since its debut, its template begetting trail upgrades and even a Travis Scott collaboration due to its relevance. Now, with its next general release, the brand is opting for the basics as it accents a white foundation with hits of Midnight Navy. Taped throughout, the cool tone acts as more of a secondary color to the rest of the palette. But even so, it stands apart thanks to its neutral counterpart as it wraps both the profile and toe cap while also treating the oversized Air unit at the heel and the entirety of the construction’s back half. Elsewhere, the mesh adjacent is understated, made interesting only because of the aforementioned and the dark-hued under layer that pokes out through the perforations.

White mesh bases set the stage for smooth leather overlays clad in a number of autumnal tones. Seasonal “Wheat” takes over much of the pair’s forefoot and midfoot, but light silver interrupts across the mudguards. Profile swooshes indulge in a similarly simple “Sail” hue, but tongues and most TPU accents throughout the upper boast stark “Rugged Orange” contrast. Underfoot, the footattract.com unit enclosure also borrows the rich color, while surrounding midsole foam and tread underfoot partake in off-white and light brown makeups, respectively.

Mixed-materials uppers are entirely clad in the aforementioned scarlet tone, but are accented by light blue detailing across the profiles and on the tongue. Lateral swooshes indulge in a leather build, while medial counterparts boast an embroidered makeup; pull tabs at the heel opt into an ostensibly neoprene construction. Underfoot, sole units predominantly partake in the pair’s titular hue, but midsole detailing delivers stark contrast reminiscent of the Black Friday Sale 2020 “Black/University Blue” from 2006. Outsoles specifically decoupled for Antetokounmpo’s game introduce a semi-translucent finish into the mix.

By contrast, “airmax” branding on the tongue partakes in a color quartet reminiscent of the nike outlet from 2004.
