I do not neccesarily believe PVM's issues are the primary thing killing the runescape game, but even as somebody who's unlocked IFB and contains over buy OSRS gold experienced all of the runescape game's PVM, I concur with your sentiment that PVM is just too complex and intense. Just a small number of the community WANT it to be so complex and intense. Ordinarily that percentage is so small that, at the devs words, they would not be in a position to warrant developing around it.but there's that 8-month dev time which was comitted to Solak. As you say, the reason the runescape game has been pushed in this direction is as it's the direction the devs like.

Should you ask me, that is what is killing the runescape game: the just kinda doing thing. "You guys want a shallow, cosmetic weather system? Ok cool, we are gonna create it very dynamic and complex and automatically deep.oh you guys do not want a weather system now? Okay. We've shown you guys concept art that practicaly PROMISES that River of Blood will comprise a huge, all-out war.but that is not actually what we would like to write, so.uhm.well we are still going to use that concept art as the log-in screen when the pursuit's published. Oh you guys found a trick to make this boss encounter more easy? Most of you enjoy the way the boss and functions combat? No, absolutely not, that is killing the runescape game in every way you can imagine and it's not going to fly."

Ultimatelywe need the identical thing as the OSRS runescape playerbase: for the devs to create the updates we want. Their devs are quite willing if not passionate to supply that, ours are more inspired by their own creative endeavours. Is that incorrect? No. We can completely be receptive to new theories and entirely new, unique articles, but I think only when we are happy that we are getting a fair ammount of what we want. Just look at how much FIGHTING we have to do and have done over YEARS for several core updates which the community nearly unanimously wanted. "we would like to know exactly what you would like." We can't be much clearer in these cases.

But saying that? Check out OSRS. They get everything they want and they turned down a brand new skill. The minority of no-voters had fictitious reasons for saying no to the ability, but most just didn't wish to lose progress on max'ing or how to make money on runescape old school simply didn't want the experience of losing bank by spending cash on a new expensive skill. I think that type of mentality is very prominent in our community too, a mentality of not being interested in Runescape's sport design, only needing the treadmil experience.
