According to a report from the Washington Post, Redskins head coach Jay Gruden is “done” with Griffin and hopes the team moves on from him in the off-season. The report states Griffin was Gruden’s unquestioned starter to begin the year, but after working with him this season the coach believes there are serious concerns both on and off the field. Gruden feels Griffin is at best a long-term project as a pocket passer and believes he’s more concerned with building his personal brand than working on improving his game. In five games this season the third-year quarterback has 869 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and two touchdowns to three interceptions. It’s unclear if Gruden will be able to convince general manager Bruce Allen and owner Dan Snider to give up on Griffin, a player the team traded three first-round picks and one second-round pick to acquire in 2012. Snyder most recently completed his first season as an assistant with Atlanta. He has also been an assistant with the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers. He was the head coach at Missouri for seven seasons, from 1999 to 2006, leading the Tigers to four NCAA tournaments. That included an Elite Eight appearance in 2002. "He has an impressive basketball pedigree, including more than a decade of head coaching experience that positions him well to succeed in the Jazz organization," Jazz CEO Greg Miller said in a statement. "We look forward to Quins contributions both on the court and in the community." Snyder succeeds Corbin, who was not offered a new contract. Corbin went 112-146 in Salt Lake City after taking over on Feb. 10, 2011, following the resignation of Jerry Sloan, for whom he played three seasons and served as a longtime assistant.
