Call of Duty Points Modern Warfare In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare a player has accidentally been given a new previously unknown weapon in his hand. Some believe it is one of the new season 4 guns. What's the deal?

Mysterious weapon at CoD MW: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare brings new weapons every season and regularly increases the arsenal of players for traditional multiplayer and for the Battle Royale CoD: Warzone.

So far 3 new weapons have come into play with one season - 2 previously announced and 1 secret. In the current season 3 all 3 new weapons are already in the game - the DMR SKS the pistol Renetti and the LMG Bruen Mk9.

But now a player has accidentally come across a new weapon that has not been officially in the game yet nor has the developer communicated it.

It is a submachine gun with the placeholder name "SM_CHARLIE9". Judging by the appearance of the weapon model and the icon this SMG is probably based on the B&T APC9 from Brügger & Thomet.

By the way the player was randomly assigned to them on May 11 in "infected mode" directly at the spawn. There were no tricks or glitches involved.

In the game this version of the weapon had a 30-round magazine with 9mm bullets. It also had a very fast rate of fire a strong recoil and an extremely short reload time. More is currently not known.

When does the weapon come into play? This is not known and this is exactly what many players are currently discussing.

Some believe it may be a new weapon from Season 4 which was accidentally released too early.

Others however emphasize that this weapon has apparently been in the game since the release of Modern Warfare and has also appeared in some leaks - incorrectly as a vector MP. We also reported on November 12 2019: Leaker says: CoD: Modern Warfare will soon get 2 new weapons - that's them.

And indeed: it is one and the same weapon as you can see from the comparison pictures.

They suspect that it could be a weapon that was planned but was then discarded for some reason. This is also supported by the fact that most weapons in Modern Warfare visually differ buy Call of Duty Points Modern Warfare but the APC9 of the Striker 45 (already in the game) would be very similar in design.

Still others consider it possible that the APC9 still finds its way into the game - if not necessarily in season 4. Because it has a finished model including animations and makes a complete impression. They consider it rather unlikely that one simply "wastes" this resource.

In short: how when and whether this weapon comes into play is currently unknown. However it would be far from absurd if we ever saw them in our arsenal - whether in Season 4 or at some other time.
