TAMPA, Fla. Xavier Woods Youth Jersey . -- The Tampa Bay Lightning were determined not to lose two straight at home. Team captain Martin St. Louis did more than his share to make sure it didnt occur. St. Louis had two goals and an assist, Ben Bishop improved to 4-0, and the Lightning beat the Los Angeles Kings 5-1 on Tuesday night. Tampa Bay was coming off a 5-4 loss to Pittsburgh Saturday night in which Matt Niskanen scored a tiebreaking power-play goal with 18.6 seconds left. "It was important to answer," St. Louis said. "I felt like we gave up at least one point last game. In his league at home, youve got a homestand, you cant lose two in a row. I thought we answered pretty well from the get-go." St. Louis has four goals and 10 points during a five-game point streak. He assisted on Malones goal for his 900th point with the Lightning. Including his time with Calgary, St. Louis has 922 points, which is 94th on the NHL career list. "Remarkable ... To be able to continue to excell for as long as hes played in this league," Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper said of the 38-year old St. Louis. "He still considers himself a young kid. And to just be able to have a front row seat, Im glad Im here to watch this." Ryan Malone, Teddy Purcell and Ondrej Palat had the other Tampa Bay (4-2) goals. Bishop made a strong save in the second on Trevor Lewis shot from the low left circle. The goalie had missed one game after having his right leg jammed during the third period of last Thursdays game against Florida. Los Angeles (4-3) goalie Jonathan Quick was pulled late in the second after allowing three goals on 17 shots. Quick had a 3-0 record with an 0.55 goals-against-average in four previous games against Tampa Bay. "We clearly out-played them the second period and were still down," Los Angeles coach Darryl Sutter said. "Their goalie was outstanding." Slava Voynov scored for the Kings, who had a three-game winning atreak end. His goal ended Bishops shutout bid at 10:27 of the third. St. Louis ended Quicks night on a goal from the low slot that gave the Lightning a 3-0 advantage with 3:38 remaining in the second. Malone put the Lightning up 1-0 when he re-directed Sami Salos shot just 19 seconds into the game. "I thought we did a good job of getting off to a good start," said Bishop, who made 30 saves. "Score on the first shift like that, big momentum for our team and we kind of kept it going." Purcell made it 2-0 from the low left circle on Tampa Bays eighth shot with 7:16 left in the first. "Weve got to just regroup after this game, throw it out and realize we need a lot better effort and a lot better detail out of our game," Kings defenceman Matt Greene said. "We just didnt break their speed. Weve got to do a better job in the neutral zone to kind of combat that, and we didnt do a very good job tonight. Weve just got to learn from it and move on." St. Louis got his second goal of the game with 7:20 to play. Palat scored late in the third to extend the Lightning lead to 5-1. Voynov hit the post late in the first for the Kings, who had a goal 32 seconds into the second disallowed because of incidental contact with the goalie. Los Angeles also failed to score during a 4-minute power after Salo received a high-sticking penalty at 3:08 of the second. The Kings, who had 10 shots on the power play, went 0 for 5 with the man advantage. Tampa Bay failed to convert on its three opportunties. NOTES: Bishop was briefly shaken up after taking Daniel Carcillos shot off the mask late in the first. ... Ben Scrivens replaced Quick and gave up two goals on eight shots. ... Kings D Drew Doughty was minus-4 for the game. ... This was just the fourth time in the last 10 years that the Kings played a road game against Tampa Bay. Xavier Woods Jersey . Cincinnati has lost back-to-back games in overtime, wasting a chance to take a commanding lead in their division. Chidobe Awuzie Cowboys Jersey . A person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press the Steelers will part ways with the former Pro Bowler, a move that hardly serves as a surprise after fifth-year linebacker Jason Worilds agreed to accept a "transition player" tag last week. The Los Angeles Kings jumped out to a 3-0 first-period lead and the Chicago Blackhawks couldnt catch them, with the Kings taking a 5-2 decision in Game Four to take a 3-1 lead in the series. Kings D Jake Muzzin scored the first of two power play goals for the Kings. Playing more than 21 minutes per game in the playoffs, Muzzin now has 11 points, placing him third among defencemen in the postseason. Not bad for a guy who didnt hook on with an NHL club until the Kings signed him during his overage junior season in Sault Ste. Marie. Four years later, Muzzin is on the top defence pairing for a team closing in on the Western Conference title. Muzzin is paired with Drew Doughty, who also had a goal and an assist in Game Four (though his goal appeared to be deflected in by Dwight King) and leads defencemen with 14 points in the playoffs. Game Four was so well in hand for the Kings that they could limit Doughtys ice time; 23:55 was Doughtys lowest ice time since Game Two of the playoffs (after which he complained about his lack of ice time). For once, the Blackhawks didnt get burned by the line of Jeff Carter, Tanner Pearson and Tyler Toffoli, until Pearson scored into an empty net, though Pearson had a team-high seven shot attempts and tied Carter with a team-leading four shots on goal. The bad news for Chicago is that the Kings other top scorers got on track. Marian Gaborik scored a goal while Anze Kopitar and Justin Williams each picked up a couple of assists; Kopitar extending his playoff scoring lead with 22 points and Gaborik leads all playoff goal-scorers, with 10. In their ultimately fruitless attempt to come back, the Blackhawks chances were created by their power forwards. Marian Hossa, Bryan Bickell and Brandon Sadd had nine, eight and seven shot attempts, respectively, to lead the Bllackhawks. Ryan Switzer Youth Jersey. Saad and Bickell scored Chicagos goals. Chicagos leaders, C Jonathan Toews and RW Patrick Kane, skated together for most of the game, as the Blackhawks tried to shake up lines and it didnt really work. While both assisted on Bickells third-period goal, Toews didnt register a shot on goal (though, immediately preceding Bickells goal, Doughty basically blocked a Toews shot in the crease to prevent a goal), the second time in the series Toews has been held without a shot on goal. The Blackhawks need their big guns to be firing, but they also need G Corey Crawford to perform better. After allowing four goals on 20 shots in Game Four, Crawford has stopped 69 of 82 shots (.841 SV%) in the last three games. The goals against arent all on Crawford, to be sure but, no matter how you slice it, .841 isnt good enough to win. Blackhawks C Michal Handzus played a game-low 4:28, not seeing the ice beyond six minutes into the second period. This isnt the first time in the playoffs that a team, on the verge of elimination, has looked like they were on the way out, and thats the situation in which the Blackhawks find themselves now. More than 90% of teams with a three-game-to-one lead in an NHL playoff series go on to win, so the Blackhawks have a steep hill to climb. But, they can look across the ice and take heart, knowing that the Kings had to overcome a three-games-to-none deficit in Round One against San Jose to get turned loose on this playoff run. Right now, the Kings look invincible, but hockey is a funny game sometimes and if the Blackhawks are better on home ice in Game Five, maybe they still have a way to dig out of this hole.
