If the player base skews to people playing PC, so it doesn't matter it will have play between PC and Xbox, they will still be lots of Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta players at the pool. It's amusing that Xbox players have been begging for years to get some JRPGs like PS4 has plus they finally land a fairly popular one completely and PS4 players are insane they don't get this one game following years of feasting on exclusivity for every JRPG released.I've not seen these mad PS4 players you are talking about. I'm arguing from the point of view of a PC player that is worried about Phantasy Star Online 2 launch functionality, as it isn't currently starting on PC, which is I believe where the great majority of Phantasy Star Online 2s userbase is.

I mean that is great. I hope it ends up on all platforms. And they are doing this with no advantages (console earnings ) that timed-exclusive launches are used for. It's possible, but my experience using FFXIV informs me that PC gamers constitute the large majority of the western playerbase, and on account of this PS4 userbase being considerably larger than the Xbox userbase that gen, I think that large majority will be split even more in favor of PC for Phantasy Star Online 2 (in regards to Xbox One/PC divide ).

I agree, which is why I'm concerned the wellbeing of Phantasy Star Online 2 in launch will be very poor, since it's a timed Xbox One exclusive. Till we receive a PC release, it could be many months following Xbox release. Hopefully the PC launch can revitalize Phantasy Star Online 2 to keep it alive, assuming the Xbox release is as dead as I envision it being. Perhaps I'm being too pessimistic and do not know Xbox userbase enough, however I really don't see Phantasy Star Online 2 having multiple thousand users months after launch, on US Xbox.

If you're itching to play with with it, there is not any reason not to go play with with it now and get the fan translations. You will get banned for logging in from so you do not need a VPN, somewhere that is not Japan. The translation covers most up everything to chapter 4 so you dont need to know any Japanese. Phantasy Star Online 2 is in a fantastic spot at the moment and it is fun although it is not at all like the original PSO (thats a good thing for the most part). It's absolutely free, so you have nothing. Dont get overly invested because you won't have the ability to transfer advancement to https://www.pso2ah.com/ the NA version.
