It is almost that time. The sky itself has cracked in Fortnite: Battle Royale, and Epic Games is teasing a stunning map overhaul that appears like it's going to incorporate elements of Western, American and Fortnite items Viking Western civilization. The programmer was working hard to make the start of season 5 as cataclysmic as you can, starting with a rocket launching a little while back and continuing on through a series of rifts that have been both eating portions of the map and spitting out mysterious objects. There's an ARG that's involved llamas scattered throughout the world and also a giant Durr Burger head plopped in the center of the California Desert. Everything comes to a head with the beginning of Season 5, but you may be thinking about when, exactly, that's.

Turnover time in the world of Fortnite is 4:00 a.m. Eastern. Season 5 probably won't start at that specific moment, however. This is a big update, and will probably require some downtime to execute. So Season 5 will begin whenever downtime ends, which is usually approximately 1-2 hours after it begins.

When that occurs, expect a few things to go down. The most obvious would be those map changes: we do not know exactly what's going to happen, but at this point we have a fairly good idea. Expect something to happen involving the giant rift in the sky, however that will likely be in the shape of an opening cinematic. It is going to probably spit out three large new things of interest along Japanese, Western and Viking topics, or lead them to materialize in other ways. There'll probably be a lot of Buy fortnite materials additional map changes too, but that seems like it will be the big one.

There will also be a new battle pass, and that's what these seasons are about, after all. You are going to have to purchase it if you would like to partake, but it will come with a whole lot of new skins and other makeup themed about what seems like some type of time travel motif, though there's always some wildcards too. Expect emotes, contrails, skins, pickaxes and gliders, all of which you'll need to level up through finishing battle pass challenges.
